Hey folks, I’m moving to chloedear.blogspot.com from now on… I find WordPress kind of cluttered and confusing so its easier for me to work with something a bit more straight forward and easy. Ok, thank you! Au revoir!
Reign of love.
August 27, 2008I have to say… I adore this song. I definitely think the reason behind the beauty and the euphoric feel to their music is the seeking a greater good. I don’t think any of them are particularly religious or spiritual but I sense the presence of God a lot of times when I’m listening. It even brings me to tears when I’m especially drawn into it. Maybe its the huge part of me that so craves the goodness of what music brings. I love, love, love it.
Reign of love
I can’t let go
To the sea I offer
This heavy load
Locusts will
Lift me up
I’m just a prisoner
In a reign of love
Locusts will
Let us stop
I wish I’d spoken
To the reign of love
Reign of love
By the church, we’re waiting
Reign of love
My knees go praying
How I wish
I’d spoken up
Or we’d be carried
In the reign of love
I also somehow managed to get tickets to their London gig this December. Put a huge dent in my pocket but I’ve been dying to see them live for years.
PS: John is away this week and I’m missing him so much already. We are moving and its busy and kinda sad and I miss him especially when I listen to sweet lovey music like this.

I’m writing in my blog…
July 31, 2008Because I can! Aren’t you proud of me? Its not 4 months down the line, not even 1, only 9 days. Well done, Chloe, well done.
I’m about ready to drift off to sleep but at the same time not. My eyes are very tired from humid air and lack of sleep. They are also feeling quite sensitive getting used to a new brand of conta
cts which I accidently scratched while putting in, leaving a miniature slice in one and it was pestering my eye all day today as well as yesterday. Which now has led to a small stye forming because of all the rubbing! Ick! However I shall be wearing my new glasses more which hopefully will prevent further tomfoolery in the eye department. Check ‘em out!
More drama is taking place with the new flat so not too excited about that as our current contract for our place ends tomorrow and now the vendors are pushing back our move-in date to the end of August! Would appreciate prayer as we don’t want to be left homeless as our current landlord has given so much grace to stay on for an extra 2 weeks. I just want to be in the new place already and be able to decorate my new room, bring on the Ikea trips and bargain hunting!
Ahem, enthusiasm at the thought will be put on hold for the time being as it is getting quite late.
Night.
Well hello…
July 22, 2008Yes, it has been way too long like always but for some reason I just don’t want to give up on this thing. Lots of stuff has been happening since April. Like I went back home to California with John and we had such a wonderful time, it was great to have him meet all the family and to see everyone mesh so well. Like I’m going to be moving in a matter of weeks to a new flat that Claire is buying! Woohoo!
Ours is the bottom one! Its going to be so nice to be able to live in a place we love as well as it being just the 2 of us. For those of you that don’t know, we’ve been living with a very odd lady for the past year and were tied to a contract with her. Poor thing is manically depressed and its been a real struggle to live with someone who 1) is socially enept 2) you have nothing in common with 3) who is unemployed meaning she is always at the house and 4) leaves an unpleasant atmosphere in our home. Thankfully shes found another place and seems excited to move which brings us an even bigger woohoo!
Something else that has been in the works… John and I have been talking a lot about the future and I’ve picked out a ring! Now that doesn’t mean we are engaged… yet!
However do watch this space!
Also once I move, I will finally be able to book my flights to go visit Jenny and Sarah and get to finally meet Benjamin bunny and brand new Christopher! The future is bringing lots of exciting things and just thought I’d share some with you!
How to capture it.
April 12, 2008In this post I thought I’d be all clever and talk about my new camera and how it captures the desires of my photographic heart. Instead I think I will be unclever and mention how I haven’t really been able to use the amazingness of it because everywhere I go, its usually by foot. And this Canon EOS D40 is one heavy mother of a son! I tend to mosey about carrying as little to nothing as possible and as my camera doesn’t really fit that equation, it gets left at home.
Why does something so good have to be so bad! The past few days we’ve had some lovely weather and I’ve forgotten my camera at every possible flippin’ opportunity. Not to mention I have a very handsome boyfriend that I want to take pictures of but I keep forgetting to. I have decided this will change starting next week. I will make more of an effort because not only do I want to but I long to!
I also finally joined the gym, woo, time for exercising. I got this nifty backpack with like a waterbottle and travel towel. Awesome. Haircut too.. and color… I will post pictures at another time because I’m tired.
I think I want to sleep now. Cheerio.
My heart is a paper cut out.
April 4, 2008A paper cut out of a piece of paper that was crafted by something bigger and better than me. I was cut out to bless others with love and faith and truth but I’ve been hiding myself away in a drawer. What good am I? Is it that I’m trying to hide the fact that I’ve got some jagged edges and also a few tears… atleast this heart is still intact and I’d be able to use effectively. There is always glue and tape and scissors to smooth the edges too… why do I let these little things prevent me from being the heart I’m designed to be. Hmm.
Ps: I love Thai food. If you haven’t tried a Thai Green (Chicken) curry you will not die happy.
Call me boring.
March 11, 2008So it seems I have the most boring blog known to man. I wish I was more interesting, however I’m sure I would be if I tried a little but most of the time I don’t want to try because I think “its not like anybody reads this anyway!”
Lots of storms in the UK at present. The weather is really horrible but I appreciate storms when they are mild and I can watch them from the comfort of my warm cosy home!
Claire and I managed to finish all 3 series of Prison Break last week which was awesome. A bit of a bummer ending to the 3rd series but ah well.. Schofield is still hot and still a genius.
The new boxset to tide me over til the 4th season of Prison Break is the 1st series of Lost. Its the boy’s favorite show so we’ve been marathoning it which is pretty darn good I have to say.
This weekend John & I are going to a close friend of mine’s wedding which is a couple hours north, we’re taking a coach which should be fun! I’m really looking forward to catching up with some old friends and also will be really happy to witness this awesome couple getting hitched!
Must get going as I’m getting that dry, can’t keep my eyes open contact feeling. Lots of love.
Donkeys.
January 31, 2008It’s been donkeys I say, donkeys. I’ve had some more free time as of late and I’m loving it up. Its been a great day today it has to be said, I got my completed mixed & mastered EP in the post as well as John’s birthday gift from the States. Awesome.
Tonight the boy and I went out for food and a film, its been a while since we’ve had a date and it was very pleasant. Food – wagamama’s film- PS: I Love You… quite a nice combination surprisingly enough as I wasn’t massively enthusiastic about seeing the movie. Can I just say, I loved the apartment in the film and it also really makes me want to go to Ireland again. This time in the Summer because when I went last it was the Winter and was as bitter as the Artic.
Yeah so John’s birthday on Friday, good ole 25! Going have a action packed weekend full of fun, frolics and alcohol… never really been into the 3rd bit but I’m actually really enjoying being a responsible adult and having a few drinks here and there. Drink of choice? Cranberry juice & vodka, cannot go wrong with that one.
And you wouldn’t believe its 2:12 in the morning, I shall stop typing and say goodbye for now but don’t worry I’ll be back soon and that’s a promise.
Been too long.
October 14, 2007Yo. wow, its been ages since I’ve written in this thing. Unbelievable, I guess life has just either been too exciting to put into words or not exciting enough to bother writing about.
However someone keeps trying to change the password on this here thingy, so I’m getting emails from wordpress regarding resetting the password. Strange, please stop whoever you are because this is my bloggy even if I hardly pay it any attention.
Loads of exciting things been happening lately, amazing, thrilling, woohoo things. One day I must share all but for now just saying a friendly hello.
